Bunny Tales

When my girls were young, we celebrated Easter in the traditional way: egg dyeing, hiding & hunting, visits to the Bunny, baskets of candy and toys.  Nowadays, with everyone grown up and spread apart, it's just not the same.  Oh, we still exchanged cards & greetings, decorated the house in springtime colors, but it's certainly a less festive holiday than it once was.  My friends tell me that I'll be able to experience all of that again, and better, when grandchildren come along. I'm looking forward to that, but in the meantime, we made do with a less traditional celebration.

Kristyn and I went to Whole Foods in the morning, stocking up on the items I can't always find in my travels.  We filled our cart with goodies and made our way to the cashier. We were so captivated by this lovely lady in her beautiful Easter bonnet, just had to capture her picture!

Kristyn and Jesus had other family obligations for the afternoon, so Chip and I decided to pack up the car and head north. But first, a quick lunch complete with a yummy dessert.

Whole Foods' Carrot Cake Cupcakes
After the long drive, neither of us felt like cooking so we grabbed Chinese take-out.  Again, not a conventional Easter dinner but it'll do.

Veggie Spring Rolls & Buddha's Delight
Today we return to St Augustine, plan to honor Chip's actual birthday (more about that later) with dinner at one of our favorite restaurants. I have some un-packing and re-packing to do so I'd better get busy!

Have a wonderful day!
