We started out with breakfast at home...muffins, tofu scramble, bagels, cream cheese..all vegan, of course.

Lunch was at Pete's Pizza in Daytona..

The old Italian men behind the counter didn't know what to think of us ordering a pizza sans cheese, but they happily made it for us anyway. So freakin' delicious, who needs greasy cheese??

Then we soaked up some culture at the Museum of Arts & Sciences..

Back at home we had a taco feast, then, of course, birthday cake. This was my first attempt at baking a vegan cake, was pleasantly surprised at how good it turned out! Very moist and tasty. I made four layers so this thing was huge, though, sent the leftovers home with the kids so as not to tempt me here!

Overall, a wonderful day. Back to reality today, will be spending one more night in Ormond and then headed back south for a few. Such is my gypsy life..smile..
Hope you all had a great weekend and your Monday is off to a good start.
Happy birthday, Brynna, from me in WI. I hope you had a terrific day!

Brynna says thank you, Marion! :)
Deletethat looks like a pretty nice day all round! And yes, pizza definitely doesn't need cheese if it's got loads of good veggies and sauce going on.
ReplyDeleteExcellent cake baking too!
Thank you, Joey! My kids said the cake looked like a giant mushroom, lol, but it tasted good so that's what counts, right?
